About Ludhiana
Ludhiana, the industrial center of Punjab is located on the old bank of river Sutlej. Also known as the "Manchester of India", it is an important link of of the Ludhiana-Moga-Ferozepur-Bhatinda-Mukatsar-Faridkot Tourist Circuit in Punjab.
Vibrant with a youthful spirit, Ludhiana is commercially advanced and has earned fame for India for its entrepreneurship. Housing bicycle, hosiery, machine tools and textile industries, the city remains busy throughout the year. It is a delightful den of the business travelers.
The gurudwara is the holy place where the Muslim devotees Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan provided a layer of protection to Guru Gobind Singh during the battle. The auspicious tank has a story behind it. It is said that an arrow was shot into the dry land to pierce a sub-terrain stream of water. In the month of December a fair is held every year.
Summers set in from mid of April and continues till mid of July characterized by extreme heat, dryness and dusty winds. June is the hottest month with temperature hovering around 45-46°C.
